World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted. Glyphs Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15. In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster. Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using a Black Lion Salvage Kit. The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph. There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts. When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats. The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes. Leveling The item upgrading system allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as “upping”. Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is upgraded. Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item. When an individual player improves an item the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a disadvantage, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it. If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources. Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). Failures can cause the item to go to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades. If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure. When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
